Exploring Disability Disadvantage in Hiring: A Factorial Survey among Norwegian Employers

The role of disability in producing disadvantage employers’ hiring assessments was explored a factorial survey, where random sample Norwegian employers ( n = 1341) evaluated fictional job-seeker profiles. results revealed that including an impairment description profile significantly decreased the likelihood would want to hire candidate. degree varied with type impairment. Being eligible for wage subsidy scheme improved candidates while information about other types support measures did not. Furthermore, when introduced into profile, crucial characteristics job seeker lost some or all their impact on assessment scores. These findings are interpreted as becoming ‘master status’ make assessments.
